I decided that I did not like and wasn't going to use my front cover I have previously started to produce at this point, so began again with the new image I wished to use of my male model looking out to sea. The shot was taken
at Hull Marina.
I cropped this image to square digipak proportions like every other cover I had produced for my digipak at this point. I sluightly increased the increased the contrast of the image.
I imported a font with the albums title from my front cover draft, this font was considered but never eventually used anywhere else on the digipak, I also altered the curves of the image as I have with several others to find the right lighting effect I wished to achieve.
I then went on to increased the vibrancy of the image slightly to exaggerate the colours of the image more.
I saturated the image by a small amount and blurred the text with the background slightly so it didn't stand out as much and wasn't as harsh, I did this to blend it more in to the image and create a slightly eerie effect. I have purposely featured the artist on many of the images to show continuity throughout my ancillary text product.
Finally I imported the artists name from my previous front cover draft. I did this due to the fact that featuring the artists name on the front cover of an album is a convention widely used throughout album covers, featured on almost every already established example.
This is my final front cover product.
