Process of producing my album front cover first draft.

Initially, I cropped my main image to square CD digipak proportions, but the image look slightly washed out. I eliminated this factor by increasing the brightness and contrast slightly, then increased the vibrance of the image.

The outcome stands out much more and looks very abstract.

I then decided to cover the large portion of graffiti reading 'NEVER YAWN' due to the fact that it was appealing to the eye and audience may mistake it for the album title. I used the lasso tool to draw around the area and crop it out. I then filled this space with a faded black and blurred the edges so that the black rectangle didn't look too hard edged.

I then generated an artist name using dafont.com, used the wand tool to highlight the white box around the black text and deleted the outside area. I then used the fill tool to colour the text white, because it will be placed against a black background.

Finally I applied this font to my album front cover. I will come back and improve this piece as it is only a first draft.
